MY FAVORITE GRANOLA RECIPE

I have been making this homemade granola for years, and since I love it so much I felt like sharing it with you. Simple and delicious. Usually I sprinkle it over turkish/greek yoghurt or my chiapudding. Sometimes I even do 50/50 chia and yoghurt.

Miriams homemade Granola

— 8 dl steel cut oats

— 2 dl flaxseed

— 2 dl pumkin seeds

— 2 dl sunflower seeds

— 2 dl sesame seeds

— 2 dl shredded coconut

— 1 tablespoon cinnamon

— 1 tablespoon cardemom

— 1 tablespoon tumeric

— 1 big apple

— 2 dl room temp. water

— 1 tablespoon coconut oil

— 1 tablespoon honey

+ toppings added when the granola is already baked : dried coconut flakes, nuts, raisins, dried cranberries etc.

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a big bowl. Shred the apple roughly.

Melt the coconut oil if it’s hardened/cold and mix it with the room temperature water and add the shredded apple. Pour it over the dry ingredients in the bowl. Mix and squeeze everything with your hands.

Pour the mix evenly out on 2 covered baking sheets with baking paper. Place them into the oven on 150 C (I have a fan-assisted oven - varmluft)

Mix around the granola with a wooden spoon every 15 minutes. After 45 minutes it should be ready.

When it’s cooled down add your toppings to the granola-mix and store the granola in a jar that is sealed tight.

Enjoy !

All heart,

Miriam
