A WEEKEND-RETREAT CREATED TO NOURISH YOU IN THE DEPTH OF NOVEMBER

Nourish

16 — 17 NOVEMBER 2024

Welcome to gather at Hotel J, surrounded by the ocean and forest. Expect wellness practices like: Pilates, Sound bath, Meditation, Yoga Nidra (deep rest), Sharing & Journaling.

Being together in a supportive and warm environment, eating nourishing foods, move and find stillness to nourish the connection to yourself and allow space to soften.

This is what we believe is the recipe for recharging and regulating the nervous system from the hyper stimulation of our modern day lifestyles.

  • Deep nourishment for growth, health and wellbeing is not just “nice to have” but essential for us humans.

Replenish your reserves. Come back home to yourself. Where you feel more grounded. Located. Rested into your own knowing even when you don’t know the whole picture.

Together we will enjoy morning, afternoon and evening classes in the historical building Tornvillan built in 1889. All meals will be served in our chambre séparée; a secluded room where we gather in meaningful conversation.

During our free time there is an invitation to step into the beautiful sauna space at the hotel - exclusively reserved for our group. Maybe you even feel like walking down to the sea and dip into the refreshing sea while being guided by Miriam to slow down your breath.

Experience

THE RETREAT

  • PILATES & GARUDA

Miriam’s style of teaching is classical pilates as a base mixed with yoga and more contemporary teachings. The result is a fluid class where movement quality is our focus, giving you an efficient and enjoyable way of training your body.

She loves supporting you by giving hands on adjustments, and she has the ability to see everyone in the group, resulting in a safe and efficient (sometimes sweaty) class.

Pilates is an excellent workout for the core and overall body strength. You can expect enhanced stability, mobility, stamina, flexibility and balance.

Her classes have the flow and spiritual element of yoga with the focus and core of Pilates into a holistic and organic form of exercise that creates minfulness, mobility and strength.

The fascia, the connective tissue that transmits power between the muscles of the body, is an important focus of this method. Breathing guides you through the movements, activates the body heat and increases energy.

  • YOGA NIDRA, SOUND BATH & REIKI:

Rest is essential for our brain, body and being. Therefore we will dive into several practices to support us and leave us feeling rested: sound bath, yoga nidra (non sleep deep rest) , guided meditation and reiki. We will ease into the evening preparing us for sleep with a special class before we go to bed.

Yoga Nidra is a method of self-care that promotes deep relaxation. Providing permission to find and explore your sensations, feelings, emotions, thoughts and visualisations, all the while remaining in relaxed awareness.

A Sound bath only requires you to lie down and listen while different instruments are being played; crystal singing bowls and chimes. The created soundscapes ease you into meditation, relaxation and daydreaming and often inspires a deep rest, and a shifting of awareness. Some even drift into sleep.

Reiki is a form of energetic therapy that works to soothe and balance your physical, mental, emotional and energy bodies while stimulating deep relaxation, rejuvenation and your body’s own natural ability to heal and recover.

  • A sharing circle is a safe space we will create together. As we gather the opportunity to be fully seen and held arises, as well as the chance to fully see each other. We get to listen and we get to be heard.

We will explore different themes and it will be a part of our welcoming and closing circle.

There is something magical that happens when we come together and share from an authentic place, and listen to others while being fully present.

  • Free writing/journaling has been a part of my daily life for as long as I can remember. It continues to support me with processing life, exploring and expressing my truth. As well as being a great tool for in gaining clarity and connecting to your intuition.

During this retreat I will give you opportunities to check in with yourself + journal around specific writing prompts. For example in the morning or during a workshop.

You don’t need any experience to try it. And it is of course voluntary. If you feel open to try it, the practice can actually surprise you — by giving you answers to questions you might not even know you had.

  • During our free time there is an invitation to step into the beautiful sauna space at the hotel - exclusively reserved for our group. Maybe you even feel like walking down to the sea and dip into the refreshing sea while being guided by Miriam to slow down your breath.

Sauna and ice baths are both great tools for recovery and overall health. Saunas have been shown to improve cardiovascular health, while ice baths have been shown to reduce muscle soreness and inflammation and can feel deeply rejuvanating. Using them together as contrast therapy can have a powerful impact on the body's circulation and recovery.

  • In the afternoon and evenings there will be free time for you to do exactly as you please. For example:

    — Stay at the hotel to rest, read or take a nap.

    — Sauna & cold plunge in the ocean

    — Go for a walk in the surrounding woods or to Lilla Nyckelviken
